I've been tattooing professionally since 1998, easing into the art via comix, illustration, and body modification. While learning my trade I've had the opportunity to work short and long stints in shops in Spain, Canada, Australia and Mexico, meeting inspirational artists who've been amazingly generous with their knowledge and time. Mostly, though, I've been based in the San Francisco Bay Area, at Diving Swallow Tattoo (Oakland) and before that at Black and Blue Tattoo (San Francisco).

Since 2007 I've been dividing my time between tattooing and my illustration work with the Beehive Design Collective. I have a BFA in sculpture from the California College of the Arts (May 2006) and I do a variety of artwork in addition to tattooing. If you're curious, check out my parallel art site.
